“From pleasure (in the image) arises love.”

What people say...

"After a long search for a Shri Yantra with the optimal combination of aesthetic, decorative value and faithfulness to the ancient scriptures I came at last upon this brilliant, splendid rendition by Piitaa. The impeccability and precision with which this yantra has been crafted is completely evident upon closer inspection. I chose the print on glossy canvas, which brings this out nicely. There is also a clearly discernible sense of “sattva”, or “baraka”, with which the picture has been induced through the artist’s grace and blessing. Thus, aside from being a beautiful work of art, it unquestionably also performs the deeper, spiritual service that one would expect from a true yantra."

"We requested  Piitaa, to paint a huge canvas, 3 feet by 5 feet, for our dining room. It consisted of two large yantras. We also requested mantras or prayers written in the original Sanskrit to be painted around the border of the entire work.

We knew we couldn't ask just anyone to paint these very intricate, complex and daunting geometric illustrations. Only a person with a high level of mastery and we believed, spiritual comprehension, would be able to do them justice.

Piitaa's efforts went beyond our expectations with the painstaking proportion, exactitude and beauty she brought to the work. Parts of the painting are even highlighted with real gold leaf. And though she is Irish, her correct rendering of the ancient Sanskrit language was formidable. Piitaa delivered a work of singular power and transcendent beauty. We were beyond pleased."

Namaste.

Welcome to Piitaa’s website of sacred art and other paintings. The Yantra paintings featured are based on sacred geometry and are traditional in design. These original artworks provide the truth seeker with a visual mantra for meditation, contemplation, concentration or decoration.  The beauty and geometric dynamic of the Yantras is appreciated by spiritualists, designers, architects and art collectors.

Some of the artworks on this website were created in accordance with Ayadi the mathematics used in Vaastu, the architectural science from India. It is believed that Ayadi measurements create a resonance of beneficial ‘energy’ in the painting, and the space it inhabits.

I invite you to browse the website to view the original paintings and prints. If you’re interested in owning an original painting, or a print, or would like to commission an artwork, feel free to contact me.

Shri Yantra (Shri Chakra, Nava Chakra)

The Shri Yantra is the most auspicious of all Yantras, it represents in abstract geometric form, Shri Lakshmi, the goddess of abundance both material and spiritual.

The Shri Yantra is mentioned in the Veda, ‘Vaastu Shastra’, (‘science of construction’, ‘architecture’) the principles of Vaastu, the sacred Hindu system of design.  The Veda explains that the Shri Yantra is a scientific, cosmic, and planetary energy zone. It is considered beneficial to have a Shri Yantra in the house or business establishment.

The geometry of the Shri Yantra painting shown above is constructed according to the principles of Vaastu and Ayadi calculations in accordance with the teachings of Dr V. Ganapati Sthapati, the world renowned Traditional Vaastu Architect, resident in India.

Note about Prints

The Gold Leaf on paintings does not reproduce as Gold in the Giclee print. In a print the Gold will look like a cream colour. It will have  contrast, as seen on the website, but not the qualities of actual Gold. Piitaa can add Gold Leaf or Gold coloured paint at an additional cost.

The spiritual function of art is to deliver an intimate experience of divinity.

The artist neither rejects nor mindlessly integrates formalized approaches,

but attempts to create in line with their own relationship with the

divine.  He or she communicates that intuitive content outwardly

in the form of his work.”
